I remember what it felt like to experience and

That’s how I want to tell you about this painting.

Like a child again.

Have you ever watched a river? Really watched it?

Not just the ripples on top, but how it moves…

slow and steady, like it knows exactly where it’s going. It doesn’t rush. It doesn’t worry. It just flows.

That’s what I thought about when this vision appeared…like a dream in pink and gold, with clouds that shift like whispers against a blushing sky. A little white church standing steady among the fields, content in its quiet place. And then, there’s the river…blue-green and endless, with the words Peace Like a River etched softly into its current.

How many ways can one feel peace?

Like the hush of green fields at dawn, when the earth takes a deep breath before the day begins.

Like warm sunshine melting the chill off your skin.
Like sinking your toes into the cool grass, knowing the earth will always hold you.

I remember when grown-ups would talk about finding peace, like it’s hiding somewhere far away. But maybe it’s not lost at all. Maybe it’s always here, waiting to be seen, waiting to be felt. Maybe peace speaks to us in colors, in rivers, in golden light at the end of the day. Maybe it whispers to us even now.
