A Prayer for Melt Like Lemon Drops
Lord, for the one who holds this vision in their heart,
I pray they feel the weight of their worries begin to lift.
May they find comfort in knowing
that You are always working,
always turning what felt heavy into something light.
Let them rest in the knowledge
that not every battle is fought by striving—
some are won in surrender,
some in stillness,
some in simply trusting that You are near.
Like lemon drops melting in the warmth of the sun,
may burdens soften,
may struggles transform,
and may their hearts find the sweetness of Your peace.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Melt Like Lemon Drops
Some paintings arrive with intention, planned and sketched before the first stroke. Others? They appear—like a whisper, an unexpected gift in the land of imagination.
This piece, Melt Like Lemon Drops, was born in a moment of pure play and flow, where colors danced and a vision surfaced. Soft pinks, lemon yellows, and fresh greens swirled together in a garden of overgrown daisies—bright and wild, untouched by worry. And there, hovering above it all, three little angels. But they weren’t standing tall or in motion. They were resting—on their backs, gazing upward, fully surrendered to the moment of peace.
At first, it felt unexpected. Angels in stillness? But the more I painted, the more I understood. Sometimes, the greatest act of faith isn’t in fixing or controlling—it’s in surrendering. Releasing what’s bitter and placing it in the hands of the One who can transform it.
And then there were the seeds—bright yellow and full of possibility, like tiny lemon drops. Maybe they began as something sharp, something difficult. But in the right hands, even the harshest moments can soften. The weight can lift. What once felt overwhelming can melt away, making room for light, for joy, for something unexpectedly sweet.
So if today feels heavy, take a deep breath. Picture those troubles dissolving, like lemon drops in warm sunlight. Let the angels rest beside you, whispering, It’s okay to release. It’s okay to be still. Peace is here.
