Pareidolia
per-ˌī-ˈdōl-yəә
noun

“the tendency to perceive a specific,
often meaningful,
image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern.
The human brain is optimized to recognize faces,
which could also explain why we are so good
at picking out meaningful shapes
in random patterns.”

-Merriam Webster

And so…

I have a serious case of

Pareidolia!

Am I the only one that sees people in wood grain?

So glad Mr. Webster found some others who have the same quirky habit.

Finally had to paint what was coming out of the woodwork

…. a family of all ages and generations in worship!

If Walls Could Talk

12 x 12 mixed media on wood

That the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born,

That they may arise and tell them to their children,

-Psalm 78:6
